Today was the final day of our Leica Akadamie Street Photography Weekend. It was dedicated to reviewing our images, having them critiqued by Tom Smith and Matt Dunn and then showing them to the other photographers.
If you haven’t had someone review your work you should. This is the second time I have done it and I learn something every time. The tough part is having to edit 100’s of images down to 10. Yes, ten photos! It was tough but we all did it.
All in all a great weekend. I met other photographers including Matt Dunn our teacher, had the staff of the Leica Store D.C. take great care of us and I got to take a ton of street images in the nation’s capital. What a fun weekend!
This is my second class I have taken with the Leica Akadamie. They have both been top-notch. I highly recommend you consider taking one. You can find their schedule here.
This is the first time I have traveled with just one camera without a backup. I put a lot of faith in the X Vario and it came through in spades. Soon I will write a review of it as a street photography camera. I have read opinions both ways but I can tell you it does a great job. Review and pics to follow.
